me!

DTO:

It's good to meet with you today, Tony. I just had a couple questions I would like to ask you. First of all, I'm sure our viewers would like to know some basic information like how old you are, so what can you tell us about yourself?

Tony:

Um... Ok, I'm 21, male, good-looking, single, I like long walks along the beach...

DTO:

That's great. Okay, we'll move onto more involving questions now. So tell us how you got into flash animation in the first place.

Tony:

Well, I've always loved doing animation. I started out when I was like 8 with stop-motion animation on my dad's video camera. I think it wasn't till I was about 16 or 17 at the time when I first really got interested in flash animation. I saw some cartoon site called homestarrunner.com, and I after watching a bunch of these, I thought to myself, "Wow, flash would be a great program for animating!" So I started out with some crappy free-ware flash animator, but eventually I went and got Flash 5.

DTO:

How about music-writing?

Tony:

That's a pretty weird story actually. When I was younger, I was a pretty easily influenced kid. If I saw someone do something that looked interesting, I would think, "Hey, that doesn't look too hard, I could probably do that myself." Yup, I got into everything, and there was always something new that I wanted to try. But usually I'd be interested or obssessed with that new thing for like a day and get bored, or decide that I sucked at it. When I was about thirteen, I had this online friend who wrote music, and that was one of those things that my child-like brain thought that I could do really well. Well, the weird thing was, is that I never stopped doing it. I'm 21 now and still writing the stuff. I guess music writing and animating are the only two things that stuck with me. Oh, and I haven't talked to that online friend in like 5 years. Ha ha.

DTO:

Well that's interesting to hear. If I had anymore questions, how would I reach you?

Tony:

Oh that's easy - Just email me at tristaph@gmail.com.
